We had the best time shooting Amelia and Rob’s summer wedding at Arbor at the Port! These two have been together since their high school days, and they share a kind and patient love that is a privilege to witness. Amelia and Mark knew each other from a few plays they did together, and it was so fun to watch them reminisce! This wedding day was full of joy, and we’re so thankful we could come along for the ride.
Sweet Morning Moments
Amelia and her family are very close, and she got ready at her parent’s home with help from her sister/maid of honor and her mom. Then, she did a dress reveal with her bridesmaids! Everyone had the sweetest reaction, and Amelia looked gorgeous wearing the Paola gown by Tara Keely and a lace-trimmed mantilla veil.
Next, Amelia did a first look with her father. Her sister and mother joined them, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. We loved that their relationship was such a big part of the day. They even planned a choreographed dance routine that they performed together after the traditional father-daughter dance!
The couple’s ceremony was a Catholic mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Penfield. We could tell Amelia and Rob were so excited to see each other after spending the morning apart! The church was beautiful, with high ceilings and massive stained-glass windows, and sunlight poured onto the happy couple as they exchanged vows. Then, it was on to the Rochester waterfront for their reception at Arbor at the Port!
Arbor at the Port Reception
The light and airy interior of Arbor at the Port was perfect for a summer reception. Natural light filled the room through floor-to-ceiling windows, while candlelight illuminated the space with a warm glow into the evening. Amelia and Rob love pairing antique furniture with white linens, and their decor perfectly embodied their vision of a simple, elegant setting with vintage charm!
Each tablescape blended contemporary and vintage-inspired styles with white linens topped with antique gold candlesticks. Meanwhile, arrangements of white flowers with a hint of blush made the prettiest centerpieces, courtesy of Foote Florals. Table number cards with illustrations of leaves and vines added to the garden-inspired feel.
We feel honored that Amelia and Rob asked us to capture their special day. Arbor at the Port is a stunning venue. We can’t wait to shoot there again! Are you planning a wedding in the Finger Lakes region? We’d love to get in touch if our work resonates with you. Reach out today!
