When I started our business six years ago, I knew little about the wedding industry or the creative field of photography. With only one college photography class under my belt from undergrad, all I knew was that I loved capturing moments and the power of storytelling.
Walking into an industry that is always described as “overly saturated” with no professional training, I was constantly told that I couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to make a living or a business from my lack of experience. I was made to believe that as an artist, I would be selling my creative soul if I was paid accordingly for my art.
Despite these doubts, I held on to my dream. In the midst of a pandemic, without ever second-shooting a wedding or prior business experience, my husband and I grew a successful six-figure photo and video business. We did this by telling love stories in a way that felt authentic and real to our clients.

Content Workshops
Are you feeling lost when it comes to direction during your sessions and on wedding days? Are you looking for a chance to shoot alongside me, network with other creatives while also learning how to shoot with a queer couple and in a more documentary style? Then, these are for you!
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
- 3 hour workshop in a state-of-the-art venue, located in the Finger Lakes.
- 45 Minutes of education from top leaders in our industry
- A chance to learn from and shoot with a queer couple, so you can develop your skills and ensure your approach is respectful, inclusive, and authentic.
- Networking with other creatives
- 30 minute wrap up session to go over questions you may have.
- The opportunity to continue working with WIA through single mentorship calls or a six-month mentorship program.

I'm a photographer and recently attended a photography workshop that Sara hosted on the topics of LGBTQ+ inclusivity and documentary style approach.
