When we met Kourtney & Joe at the beginning of last year (literally a few weeks before the whole world fell apart) we had an instant connection. We saw their vision for their wedding day, even though they weren’t officially engaged yet. They both knew they were getting married and were going to spend the rest of their life together. Joe was in the works designing the most gorgeous ring, which turned out perfect. Her ring is an emerald-cut aquamarine that is one of the most beautiful we have seen.
This last year had been a complete stressor for anyone getting married during the time of COVID. Kourtney and Joe both stayed strong and held out until they couldn’t anymore with their original plans for their wedding day. With only a few weeks left, they had to make a change of plans. They couldn’t have the 200+ guest list, the venue, the reception, and the dancing. But, they still said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends in the most beautiful church.
Winter Wonderland Wedding in The Finger Lakes
The ceremony took place at the Chapel Hill Wedding Chapel in Rochester. This former all-girls Catholic school boasts an incredible Neo-Gothic chapel perfect for ceremonies. The original stained glass adds an incredible glow. Kourtney looked so gorgeous as she walked down the long aisle, focused on Joe at the end of it.
After the ceremony, we went with the couple to The Lodge at Shadow Hill for portraits. They had a reindeer and a sleigh there for photos, and it was amazing! It’s not often you get to take bride and groom portraits with a reindeer! The best part is that there was lots of snow. Kourtney dreamed of a snow-filled wedding, and she got it!
Winter Touches
The couple incorporated so many winter-inspired details on their day. Kourtney’s gown was a ballgown cover in beading and glitter and was absolutely perfect. She wore an ice tiara, with silver rhinestone heels. Joe had snowflake cufflinks and tie-clip.
After portraits, we headed to the Inn On Broadway. They had the most gorgeous private dinner for 10, with lots of candlelight and sparkle. It wasn’t the ball that she originally planned, but the pre-ball festivities were perfectly fit for the queen that Kourtney is. One thing we are finding throughout 2020, is that even if your wedding isn’t as you originally planned, sometimes it works out even more beautiful.
Thank you so much for allowing us to capture your day, for always being ever supportive of us, our business, and for building a friendship with us over this last year!
