Fall Wedding at Beautiful Estate, Lily Manor, in Mifflin, Pennsylvania
It was mid 2018 when Abby first reached out to us about engagement photos. We weren’t even WIA yet, and photo was a new part of our business then. After a few emails, we met up at Greenlakes State Park and got to know these 2 over a few hours. What fun we had learning about their love and passion for Dungeons & Dragons, science, and all things nerdy. We instantly connected at that session and even though at the time their wedding day was 2 years away we couldn’t wait for that time to come!
Fast forward to 2020, and we all know what happened this year. What a crazy year it was to be a bride planning a wedding, and on top of that they were doing it from a different state, coordinating with relatives coming from places farther away, and DIY’ing most of it. Though the year brought on new challenges, we were so excited when they decided to move forward with their day as planned within restrictions of Covid-19 of course.
We had been planning for 2 years that we would drive down the day before the wedding to make sure we could capture their D&D game they were going to have with their bridal party (see pics below) Not only was it a special campaign designed for their wedding weekend, BUT Abby made all of the characters and pieces for the game (she crocheted them herself!) It was the perfect way to kick off the celebration of these 2 souls coming together.
The tables were noted by the “Periodic Table of Tables” and each one had their own element signifying which guest went where. Each piece of the day was well thought after and put together to perfect represent both Abby + Corey.
