A Summer evening of laughter around Rochester, NY // Sunken Garden + Cobbs Hill
Amelia + Rob have been dating since highschool, and we just love working with highschool sweethearts. There’s something about how they know each other on such a deep level. I mean you’ve at that point been through it all together; growing up in school, those fun teenage hormones and emotions and then growing together into adulthood.
While these 2 were dating in highschool, Amelia met Mark at Spotlight Arts, a drama studio in Fairport. They did a play together there, and stayed in touch through social media. When Rob popped the question, Mark was the first person she reached out to for an engagement session. We were so excited to get on the phone with them and learn more about the proposal (of course!) and what they were looking for.
Right from the beginning of the conversation they knew they wanted to do their session in Rochester because that is where there relationship began, bloomed and where they reside as a couple. So we were able to venture around Rochester with them, and I’m not sure we’ve ever laughed so hard before. (I had to create a little collage of all the laughter we had those are some of my favorite images!) They are constantly smiling, happy, positive and their joy and energy is infectious. We came across a kitty, literally chased the sunset over the city, and chatted about pizza all night long.
We know your celebration of marriage won’t be until 2022, but we are so excited to be apart of this journey with the both of you. Thank you for choosing us to capture such a wonderful moment in your lives together.
